What Are Siliyuan uPVC Bathroom Doors Made Of?

uPVC refers to unplasticised polyvinyl chloride, rigid PVC produced without softening plasticisers. At Siliyuan, our uPVC bathroom door panels are extruded into multi-chamber profiles. The hollow multi-cavity structure delivers high rigidity while keeping light weight, and also brings basic sound insulation and heat preservation performance.

Key construction features for buyers: • Multi-chamber uPVC Profile Internal hollow cavities deliver high stiffness without extra weight. A solid plastic slab of the same size would be heavier with no strength improvement. • Reinforcement for Large-Size & Glazed Doors Oversized doors and doors fitted with glass panels adopt internal steel reinforcement to maintain long-term rigidity. Our sales & engineering team will recommend proper reinforcement solutions for non-standard sizes. • Lead-free Formula Old-style uPVC products adopted lead heat stabilizers. All Siliyuan uPVC profiles use eco-friendly calcium-zinc stabilizer systems, complying with international environmental standards. • EPDM Sealing Gasket EPDM rubber gasket fitted along the closing edge achieves tight sealing and buffers closing impact.

One important note: UV stabilisation is a core feature for exterior uPVC windows exposed to sunlight. For interior bathroom doors, UV resistance is not a required feature. If a supplier emphasizes UV protection for indoor bathroom doors, they are simply copying content from window product brochures.
